I have recently upgraded all my workstations and server to Win2k. It went great and I’ve had very few problems. The biggest problem is with trying to get 2 HP Scanjet 5100c’s to work with Win2k prof. I’ve downloaded the updates from HP but when Itry to run them I get the error that I must have administrator rights to run the program in win NT. I’ve tried logging onto the machine locally as administrator and logging onto the network as administrator and I STILL get the same error message.
When I try to manually install the scanner from the drivers already in Win2k it begins the installation and then halfway through, restarts the whole machine, and of course doesn’t work. This is crazy. It should be such a simple install, but it’s kicking my butt. HELP! Who’s done this already and has the solution?
