On a Win 2k laptop I am trying to fix, I am unable to choose a region/country in the modem control panel, it simply has a blank list. As a result, I am unable to create any DUN sessions. I have tried everything I can think of… removed and reinstalled modem/NIC drivers, clients and protocols… ran sysprep, searched in the registry… searched on Microsoft’s support website, etc… The event log says its unable to start the Remote Access Service something, because the device it depends on (Telephony) is disabled or not working…
Any ideas?
