Win2k: controlling startup programs

In Win98, running msconfig.exe -> Startup tab , allowed one to choose which programs/processes are loaded at startup.
In Win2000 how can I control the processes loaded at startup ?(Other than those visible in the Startup folder).
I often have to close unwanted startup processes from Task Manager. These processes are also not visible from the Services console in MMC.
