Win2k critical update roll-up problem?

By kpaolini ·
After pushing out the new critical update roll-up package to all users, I'm suddenly getting reports of PCs freezing up when the user tries to save a file to a floppy disk. In testing, I'm finding that some systems do freeze and others don't. Is anyone out there having problems with the roll-up package, or do I need to look elsewhere for a cause?

Thanks,

kpaolini

I have not experienced any problems so far with the Win2K roll-up that has been deployed to about 100 users. Are the PCs freezing to a point that they are locked up and you have to reboot or does it just freeze up for a period of time and then come back and finish writing to the floppy?

Have you thought about your anti-virus software? It's quite possible that the Win2k roll-up may be incompatible with your anti-virus software. I believe most AV software by default scans floppies when being accessed.

I noticed that your question was answered. What was the problem and solution?
