Win2k DHCP server assigns wrong subnet

    Locked

    by gunnersixz ·

Our win2k DHCP server currently has subnet of 255.255.255.0 but when I go to a windows 2k client and release and renew the IP, I get a subnet of 255.255.0.0 I believe that I have a wrong setting somewhere on the DHCP scope but I don’t know where tolook. The reason for this questions is that I have some systems that cannot be seen on the network neighborhood since they are on a different subnet. I can resolve the computer names and ip addresses but they just dont’ show up on the neighborhood.I checked the systems and sure enought they were showing a subnet of 255.255.0.0 (they got this from the DHCP server). ANy input would be greatly appreciated.
