I configured a server with Windows 2000 Advanced Server and IIS 5.0. I set up an ftp site that all users within my building can see and browse. We have a user who is also part of our company but is on a different domain. I removed the computer from the domain and made it a standalone server. The user receives a page cannot be displayed message when he tries to access the page using the ftp site name and a connection timed out message when trying to access the page using the IP address. I checked the box to allow anonymous access box but he still cannot access the site.
What are the step by step instructions that have to be followed to allow anonymous access to an ftp server?. Maybe I overlooked something.
