    win2k officexp outlook wrong font

    Locked

    by john.m1 ·

hi, not sure if this is a win2k problem or office xp 0r Outlook specific.

suddenly (without any reason that i can determine) i have a big ugly font in several places. ‘Outlook’ headers e.g. FROM-SUBJECT-TO,
also in the options for outlook the font is so big and ugly that it does not all fit within the dialogue box. (the tabs font is normal though)
Maximised (selected) apps on the task bar display the wrong font.

i have tried windows and office ‘repairs’ but am thinking a simple registry hack is needed?

Please help it is driving me nuts.

    Thanks in advance

My first thought is the selected font was deleted from the Fonts folder (not removed through the menu). Since Windows can’t find it, it is substituting one that it thinks is close but, obviously, isn’t.

Check what font is set for those objects and see if it is actually installed.

i did wonder if it was a corrupt font? doesn’t seem to be.
How can i change fonts for these objects?
i have tried both from within outlook options and windows but no luck, this is why i wondered if it has to be done via the registry?
      Thanks
