WIN2K over VLANs

By vicmen23 ·
Are there any conflicts or incompatabilities when using Windows 2000 over Virtual LANs? Does this two separate tech. works well with each other?

WIN2K over VLANs

VLAN operates at a much lower level of the networking hiearchy, a level that Win2K is not even aware. So yes both technologies will work together.
VLAN will be made at your switch, just make sure to provide your Win2K box with the proper IP address according the right VLAN they are located on. If nothing is blocked in your VLAN implementation Win2K wont even be aware that they exist and will operate normaly.
