Win2K Pro Upgrade Problem

By dan ·
When I try to upgrade Win2K Pro on a PC with Windows 95 I get the following error:
"page_fault_in_nonpaged_area
Address BFFC41E5 base at BFFA2000, DateStamp 38441c2a - setupdd.sys"
I swapped RAM, but cannot solve it.
I upgraded another PC with the same hardware configuration with no problems.
Any ideas?

I'm not 100% on this, but I'm pretty sure you need to upgrade to 98 before you can move on to 2000. You could of course do a clean install straight off, but you will need to backup any important files etc before you go ahead. You should do a full backup in any case just for safety.
Best of luck

Win2K Pro Upgrade Problem

It turned out that the "subst" command was being loaded on bootup to substitute an F drive for the C drive. Another PC needed this substitution to properly run an application on the PC I was trying to upgrade. Weird stuff.
Thanks for the tip anyway.
