I seem to remember with a new install of win2k pro, the first (and ongoing) time your application software (ie: MS Outlook) needs a password, you can simply answer “Yes” to the prompt “Remember password on this machine”.
I have a win2k pro client, and it won’t prompt to remember passwords, and even clicking the “Remember Checkbox” in the ms outlook 2k client mail account won’t work. I can enter the password, and it will send/receive mail successfully, then at the next sen/receive …. You guessed it – It prompts to enter the password.
Does anyone remember or know how to toggle win2k pro to remember passwords, and even post the prompt whether or not to remember a password on an internet page? If you can help I would appreciate it…..John
