Ok, this may very well be a dumb question which will inherit a dumb answer later, but hey I’ll ask anyways! =)
Whenever I shutdown my PC that is currently running Windows 2000 Professional and turn it back on again, I receive the following error messages upon startup:
C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM is either missing or corrupt… or I will get the same message but the SOFTWARE reg file is missing or corrupt.
Could turning off power management in the BIOS avoid this problem?
I’vebeen using Win2k since it was released and have only experienced this problem in the past 4 days now.
