I need to provide permanent connection for one of my branch office trough an analog 2 wire twisted pair leased line , so I bought 2 async. external modems (3Com Courier V.Everything 56k).
I simulated a similar environment in my office : 2 win2k servers with RAS enabled, modems are set for leased line.
The big problem is that RRAS will not recognize the modems when they are in leased line mode.
I tested the modems&RAS when they are in dial-up mode and this is working fine.
While in leased line mode the modems connect , but after less than 1 second the modem that is set to auto-answer is resetting the connection ( I’ve tested the modems with hyper terminal and this is ok).
Maybe that i am missing something fundamental : I’ve searched documentation about leased line & RRAS but I’ve found 0 .
Maybe for the connection to work I need a connection script.
If anyone can bring useful help to this problem please do ASAP !
