    Win2k RRAS

    Locked

    by mr. origami ·

How to set up Win2k VPN access? Small company. 1 server (small business server 2000) with 2 nics installed (though only 1 is enabled and in use). Topology is Internet -> T1 -> hardware router -> switch -> server and workstations. When I configured RRAS on the server, the server could no longer browse the internet nor could it ping the router! I disabled RRAS and the server could browse internet just fine again.

I’m sure I’ll have to add some things to this initial posting – but that’s the basic scenario.

install a routing protocol, in your RRAS mmc snap-in, under IP Routing/General, right click and select new routing protocol. install one that is being used by your hardware router (RIP v1 or v2/OSPF). Or set up a static route to your hardware router.

      hope this helps.
