Greetings,
I recently had to set the time on a win2k server. I did this throught the regular clock in Windows by double-clicking on the time in the systray. It is running Active Directory Services. After resetting the clock (back an hour), upon trying to launch the Users and Computers MMC applet, I got a message saying the the domain could not be contacted because the server and client clocks were out of sync. Please contact your administrator (or something similar). Win2K obviously didn’t correct for the daylight savings time change. I eventually rebooted the server, verified the settings in CMOS were correct (which they were) and when it came back up, everything was fine. My question is, do I have to do this every time I need to change the time (reboot the server)? Was there another place within Win2K where I needed to set the time? Did I miss something?
Thanks,
Brian
