Win2K shutdown question

By brian ·
I have noticed on a couple Win2K servers that if I choose shutdown throught the Start menu, the box will completely power down, but if I do it through a service or command, like through the tsshtdn command called in a batch file, or if a shutdown command is sent from UPS software, the server goes to the "It is now safe to shut down..." screen. Anybody know how to remedy this?

Brian

This is a known issue with microsoft and has been fixed in sp1 for 2000 server.

Please Install the 84MEG patch file ..
