Win2K, VPN, and Router

Hi all,

We have a Peer to Peer LAN running Win2k Pro on each machine connected to the Internet (ADSL) via a Router that is supposed to be VPN enabled. When I attempt to set up a VPN Server on one of the machines, the only devices it shows me arethe modem and LPT1.

Before I even tackle the Router aspects of the VPN, I need to set up a VPN server that will accept connections via the LAN (don’t I??).

I must be missing something here, perhaps in the configuration of the NIC, or do I need Win2K Server to do this? The support people from the ISP and the Router company have been next to useless, so I return to the place of greatest wisdom.

Can anyone assist?
