Win2K VPN and Sonicwall

by nsteere . Updated 25 years, 3 months ago

Hi,

1. I have a Sonicwall Pro-VX firewall using NAT. Works Great.

2. I have W98, NT4.0, and Win2K Pro Clients connecting via VPN.

3. Everything is fine, except that when my Win2K Pro VPN clients use the “Find Computer” (as all my clients do-no netBIOS)tool, they can ONLY see the Win2k systems on the LAN. Funny thing is that the win2K systems can still ping everything and even get web pages from the hidden LAN intranet which is NT 4 based.

Thanks for any help possible. Sonicwall thinks that my Win2K systems are not logging in to the domain. They are as far as my settings show. They can get resources on the win2k LAN systems that only domain members get so I’m not too sure about that answer.
