Win2K VPN client recommendations

By simon.wellborne ·
I would like to hear of anyones experience of establishing a remote VPN connection from a Win2k client.

Does anyone recommend any 3rd party products?

The VPN endpoint is a CISCO product utilising IPSec.

Any comments appreciated

Do you installed SP1. If not do this first. At the next step check witch softwareversion runs on the cisco router. You need the newest one for this machine.

A second opinion is to use Watch Guard VPN client. This Client wood work with Raptor Checkpoint and CISCO.

Checkpoint FW-1 is by far the one I prefer for Windows 2000, using a Nokia box for the server firewall and encryption peice(could run you on the expensive side) but working for a bank, it matters.
I am using the SR4166 strong client for these 2K PCs,
as a rule Checkpoint is good for mixed MS OS's we use it with a mixed domain of 95/98/2k machines
