Win32s errors when launching programs

by v-man . Updated 25 years, 2 months ago

I seem to have managed to get some part of the old win3.1 Win32s extensions installed on my Win2k Prof box.
When I try to run an installation program (and sometimes other programs too) I get an error ‘MSVCRT.DLL for win32s Error:MSVCRT.dll is not compatible with Win32s’ I have searched my system for win32s files but found none I have also scanned for incorrect protected system files and drawn a blank here too.
This isn’t to much of a problem as just closing the error usually allows the programs to install/run, except my AV software which insists my box is not running win95/98/NT/2k.

Any other advise would be great

Cheers
