We have tested a couple of machines running W7 on a Win2003 domain. Whilst these machines can access the domain ok, we have experienced web access problems. Very similar to the Vista web access problems of a couple of years ago, which were quietly swept under the carpet.
Standalone these machines are ok, but for most work apps, there is no advantage switching to W7 from XP. Get the performance boost you need by simply performing a thorough deep-clean (re-install) of your existing machine and OS.
