For NT connectivity you require the TCP/IP protocol or NetBeui on all your PCs. Linux by default uses TCP/IP.

So the first thing to check is that you have this protocol on the Windows 95 PC. Check this under the Network properties. The fact thatyou have Netware clients loaded is irrelevant.
The 2nd test is to make sure your windows 95 PC can ping the Linux server. Use the Linux server's IP address first when pinging.
To use the Linux server's NT name in a ping you need to point your 95PC to the WINS server with the same WINS settings as you use for your working PCs.
Not too relevant but make sure your Windows 95 PC is in the same NT domain or Workgroup

www.orielly.com has an excellent browsable SAMBA manual.

Make sure your PC have netbeui installed.
Try to edit hosts file in c:\windows
add the following
samba-ip-address samba-hostname
save this file and re-start.

Hope this might help.

Besides giving the gateway IP address (The IP number of your Linux Server) in your TCP/IP settings, give also the DNS IP number (The IP number of your Linux Server).

Also logon the user name which you have specified in your Samba configurations in the Linux Server. This will definitely give you the access of Samba Share in Network Neighborhood.
