Win98 Client printing 11×17 using PCL HP

by marty . Updated 24 years, 9 months ago

I’m trying to print on an HP5si using a PCL driver. The network is NT 4.0. The user is on a Win98 Workstation and PageMaker 6.5.

I’ve installed the 5si on the NT 4.0 Server using the latest install/driver from HP (PCL6?). I set the default document to pull from tray 3 – 11×17.

When I install that printer on the Win98 Workstation and print a PageMaker document the document is printed way off center.

User said that it used to work with a different driver that had more tabs than what comes up on the properties of this one. A collegue of mine suggested I install the print driver that comes on the PageMaker CD. I have to drive 2 hours to get to this client and I need detailed instructions that will really work this time.

What print driver should I be using on the server?
What driver should be installed on the workstation and how should I install it?
