Win98 Client Remote Shutdown

by p_jackson . Updated 22 years, 4 months ago

I wish to be able to shutdown a 98 client from an NT4 server which does not have SMS installed and i do not want to use any remote software that requires a client install, i would prefer to either use a batch file or script and would not mind if client needed to have a batch or script located and hidden on the system somewhere and all i have tried so afr is to no avail, any script or batch wizards out there with a solution.:) I know i can shut down the client with the command rundll32.exe shell32.dll,SHExitWindowsEx 2 when run on the client so if there is somehow i can send that command to execute on the client from script or batch files i’d be a happy man and would not have to go and turn off about 50 machines that users leave on..:)
