Win98 dial-up networking question
One of my users has a Windows 98 SE box w/ a 56k internal modem and no network card. We are trying to get this box to dial in to our network to be able to access mapped drives, internet, exchange, etc. etc. The modem works fine and connects, I can ping our servers from the workstation. Our network is behind a MS Proxy server. I’m using Oulook2k/IE 5.5. The proxy client is installed and configured properly on the box as well…for a short period of time I was able to connect with the PC if I did not log the user in to Windows. As soon as I logged the computer in, it would just time out in IE/Outlook and no connection would be made. I can map network drives and browse the network fine – just no internet/exchange. Any ideas what would cause this?
Thanks,
