Win98 Explorer doesn't show files

By johnm ·
Today my Windows Explorer stopped showing me the files on the 'right' pane for any files that are inside a directory(folder) while in View/Details mode. I can see the files if I choose any other viewing mode.

I use Win98 Second Edition.

Any Ideas?

(FYI: IE5 w/SP2)

The Detail view is the only view that uses columns. I'll bet they're all squished together. It'll take some playing with, but position your mouse over the left edge of the view pane (NOT the bar separating the panels) and see if it changes to a left-right pointing arrow, and try dragging to the right. If no luck there, try the right edge. Or if there are any separator lines in the top bar where you would normally see name, date, size, etc, try that.

It's definitely a problem of column sizing, not a problem with Windows or Explorer.

Well it worked, kind of....

You were right that it was a 'column' thing, but now the columns are in listed in an odd order(size, type, modify, name).

But at least I can see them..

Thanks for the help! :)
