I have a home network with 4 pc’s sharing one cable connection using ICS/Win98. One pc is setup as the gateway with internal and external NIC’s. If I turn on the gateway pc with all the others turned off then it will hang every 10 seconds or so (it’s apparently looking for the computers). If I turn on one of the other pc’s then the hanging stops. I need a simple/quick fix so I can run the gateway by itself with the others turned off. I’ve tried disabling ICS but it doesn’t work. I only have loaded the protocols that I need.
