win98 install problems

I am installing win98 to an older dell pII/233 mand the wizard told me it would take 457 minutes to fully install win98. WHY?!?!?!? what in the **** does this mean. This is the first time I have ever run into an install time like this.what does this mean? at first I thought it could maybe be the processor so I chaged it out with another one of the same speed. Nope. Still having the same problem.. Input would be nice..
