win98 new motherbd

I have a win 98 client that had bad power supply and mother bd.. but hard drive is still good. It was orginally installed on a old pentium pc. I tried to put the hard drive in a pentium 3 pc. It now starts to boot up but asks for win 98 cd to get addional driver.. does it matter if you use win 98 or win 98se cd.. thanks
