WIN98 system cannot browse internet

We have an HP Win98 system that has stopped resolving internet sites. Local network works fine.

We have tried both NIC (cable internet) and dialup (PPP to ISP) with same results.

Connections are fine and WINIPCFG shows IP being assigned, but the system still gets the ‘Page Not Found’ error as if the DNS is not working.
