Win98-Win98 dial-up networking

By VNCoder ·
Hello All,
If I have two Win98 (first ed) - how can I have one setup as a dial-in machine for the other win98 to dial-out into so that I can access files and program (network mappd drive) between the two via modem.

Thanks in advance.

Use microsoft netmeeting version 3 and above .Run the host end with auto answer and allow client to view and modify files.

There are also third party software available , you may want to try it by downloading it from downlaod web site like yahoo or zdnet.

If you have to do this, and I honestly cringe at the idea. I would get PC Anywhere.

Why use modem......

The cheapest way is get a parallel cable and use "direct cable connection". Its free, you only pay for the cable.
