The Product Key will shut the unit down after 30 days if you do not activate the Product in this case XP Pro.

You can install it as many times as you like without a problem but if you activate it every time you install it you might get a few problems from MS as they'll want to know what is wrong with your hardware. Personally I get everything up and running before I activate any OEM or Retail product that I use that way if there is a bad install of a piece of software or driver corrupts the system I'm not constantly reactivating the product.

Go ahead you'll not have any problems at all.

yes you can reinstall it as many times as you wish . If you are a registered user the only thing you have to be careful is "good relations" with Microsoft . This is tru good intensions.

When your PC boots off the CD, you have the option to reformat the drive. If there is nothing important on it, I would suggesst you reformat it clean, create the file system with NTFS, and let the install, well, install.
If your PC does not boot off the CD, go into your BIOS settings and make sure that BOOT CD is at least the first option. Every computer has a different BIOS so I can not get any more specific. Sorry.
