Window XP Screen Saver

By mslonecker ·
I have several workstations that are going to the Windows XP screen saver this is causing the machine to lock. The user then has use the crtl + alt + delete and log back onto the machine. In turn then some of their programs they have open are failing. The machine?s OS is XP Professional, with all critical window updates.

I have set the screen saver to none, change all the power settings to never, disabled for the machine to hibernate. On the NIC on the Power Management I have disabled Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power. In the BOIS in the power settings I have change the API Standby State from S3 to S1.

Does anyone know of a setting anywhere that will stop the machine from doing this?

Password Protect box checked

Is the "On resume, Password Protect" box checked under the screen saver settings? If it is, uncheck it. If that is grayed out, then you can edit the setting by running the gpedit.msc command.
