Windows 10 hijacked by Admin Mode

My system has just been hijacked by the last thing I ever expected – the Admin Mode!

Let me explain….

I had used the command line prompt to place the machine into Admin Mode. I needed to use this mode to download some firmware to update my printer. All was good and the printer is now working properly (Yeah!!)

I made the mistake of shutting down the system without exiting Admin Mode using the same set of commands I had used to get there. That’s where the trouble begins…..

When I later re-started the computer there were two options (supposedly….) My original login and a new Administrator login. I figured, Okay. No problem. I clicked on my original login and attempted to log in only to be informed that my password was incorrect. This was odd because I’ve only ever had one profile on the computer.

So then I tried the Admin account (Thank goodness it didn’t need a password – or, so I thought.) and it immediately setup like it was a new computer. I was hoping that it would set up with a dual login (Admin and my original profile). No such luck. Now it boots strait into admin mode and my original profile is nowhere to be found.

Any ideas how I can shut down this admin mode and restore my profile? Even a dual login arrangement would be fine. I just need my original profile as it has my accesses to literally everything I have.
(I hoping beyond hope everything is still there, but this is Microsoft we’re talking about.)
