There are a lot of possible reasons: DHCP, IP address, running services, (windows time) and so on? For helping you I need some more information.

To join a domain, on the PC you need:

Client for Microsoft Networks
TCP/IP with correct IP address and connectivity to the DCs.

You will also need local admin rights and at least Account Operator rights to join the domain and create a computer account.

In addition, the account you are using(or a group it is in) will need to be added to the Default Domain Policy under Computer Configuration > Security Settings > Local Policies > User Rights Assignment "Add workstations to the Domain" GPO. This normally contains the BUILTIN\Administrators Group, but you can add other Groups, for instance, we have a desktop support unit that can add computers to the domain.
