Windows 2000 Advanced Server

By QB ·
Ii have 2 w2k adv servers that see each other all day but at night they sometimes they see each other and sometimes they don't. This only happens at night and the only thing different I do at night is backups with backupexec (7), so I stopped backups for a couple of nights and still have the same problem.

No it isn't a time zone thing, I am leaning towards a browser service problem. 90% of all workstaions are NT workstations and I believe they are all set to maintain a list. I would like to set the registry to "no" on all of the workstions but I don't know what kind of impact that will have on the network's and server's performance.

You might want to look at the AD Sites and Services, and look at the ntds schedule to make sure it is running during the night like it does during the day
