Windows 2000 and Windows 98 / 95 Worksta

By techman ·
I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to make the 9x workstations pull the drive / port mappings off of a 2000 server. we have multiple users on some pc's and they need access to only their files os I would like it to map specific directories foreach user. Any one have an answer it would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Dwane

Create a login script and use the "net use " command to map user specific directories, e.g.

NET USE F: \\servername\directory

Check out the Kixstart scripting package. You can download it from Microsoft.

In addtion to answer number one. If you have set the users home directories in user manager then you can use "net use h: /home" to map the drives as well.
