Windows 2000 and XP peer to peer

By Travis Smith ·
I have a windows 2000 professional peer to peer server with 3 Xp workstations and a third party office management software, high speed cable modem. My question is why is the third party software running so slow and alot of times it locks up in the program. Tried all kinds of different combinations of protocols removed cable modem and no difference in speed any ideas would be appreciated!

Windows 2000 and XP peer to peer

Which "third party office management software" are you running? And on which computer?

What are the computer specifications of the computer running this software?

Are all the computers running this software simultaneously?

You do not have a true network server... file sharing has to be divided up among all the users. The computer sharing the application needs to be capable of handling the stress of this.
