Windows 2000 DNS

Hi guy’s. My company runs a WInNT domain and we would like to migrate to Windows 2000. We have our domain name registered and hosted on some web-host’s server. How can we still use the “mycompany.com” domain for our Windows 2000 active directory ? Would would have to create a subdomain or use something like split-dns?

I’m a little confused. Please help.
