I have a Win 2000 workstation on an NT 4.0 network. The first time you try to open a file from any program, by selecting the down arrow on the “look in” menu, the systems hangs for approx 1-2 minutes. It seems like it is either reading ahead or browsing network drives. I have tried this on another Win 2000 workstation and it does not happen. Is anyone familar with any Win 2000 options that could cause this hangup?
