Windows 2000 install

I have an older Compaq with a 4GB HDD that was factory partioned into a 2.5 ‘C’ and a 1.5 ‘E’. I want to reformat the E drive and repartition it so that I can set it up for dual boot with Win2K and Win98SE. The C drive already has Win98, does anyone know a safe way to reformat E, remove the partition and return the space to C?
