Windows 2000-K/board

By chang_hk ·
I've tried the Windows 2000 Rc3 in so many PCs. And I'm not deny that most of my peripheral need to use the generic drivers due to the manufacturer will not release the drivers until the S/W is official release. My problem is I m having the k/board hang problem in so many PC even a HP Vectra. The k/board just stop responding after the Windows 2000 start. I tried on different PC, k/board but still same. I cound't find any generic or standard drivers for the k/board.

Pls help. Thks.

Win 2k is very sensitive like nt 4.0 was. If you have a ps/2 keyboard try that. It does not like serial too much. That has been a common problem on all our trial runs.

ensure that your keyboard numlock is off.you start your windows then put your numlock keys
off restart then all will be ok. check the
hardware compatibility list hcl.txt in your
win2000 cdrom and see if all your hardware
are compatible with win 2000environment.

I think you are possibly having a differnt problem i have a gateway G6-400 with a gateway custom internet keyboard, Dell Optiplex GX1 Hp Pavillion 6534 Gateway notebook computer all have installed with no problems on RC2 i really dont see why generic drivers would not work on a PS2 keyboard keyboards are pretty much standard in that you can plug just about any keyboard in. Are ypu using some very specialized keyboard with odd keys?
