Windows 2000 LAN properties

I can't longer do LAN properties, all network connections dissapear, I need to bring back the network connections properties so I can change TCP/IP properties (icons)

Can you not see them or are they are greyed out? If you can no longer see them than make sure your NIC is still working i.e. Drivers and you can see it running fine in the device manager.
Run a command prompt and type ipconfig
If you do not get anthing than it is more than likely that it is a NIC card issue.

If it is greyed out than you need to log in as administrator to have the ability to change it.

I would say that if you cannot see the Local are connection that your card iseither bad or has lots its driver(common in win2k) Use device manager to really make sure that card is correctly setup. Or the card might have gone bad and you will need to replace it.
