Windows 2000, Lexmark, USB Conflict

I’ve attemped to intall a (New) Lexmark Optra M410 network printer to my computer in my classroom via USB. When I attempt to print a document the printer indicates that it is working but nothing is happening it seems to be hanging. If you restart the printer and hit the “go” button and page exits with only the W2K logo. I have an HP2100TN attached via parallel and is working fine and shared to 20 other computers in the classroom.

Are there any problem with W2K and USB? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Is the USB enabled in the BIOS?
