I’m having an issue on many different computers within the company. Previously, if I needed to make a particular user have admin rights on a specific machine, I’d go to that terminal and set Domain/Username to Admin status under CP/Users. This worked fine up until recently. Now, it works only partially? The user has access to CP and a lot of other areas that would normally be restricted. BUT he can’t access the CD-ROM, C-drive (unless using ‘explore’), can’t Add/Remove Programs … among other things. This has me completely baffled. There have been no known changes to the servers (Win2K-server)or GPO and automatic updates are NOT turned on. How can I get these users back to having full Local Admin rights?
