Windows 2000 Power Mgmt/Login Screen

by bristar . Updated 20 years, 4 months ago

I’m supporting about 75 computers that we just moved to a new domain. With all users getting a new profile (from the new domain name), they all ended up with a default power management setting which put the system into hibernation. I changed all settings to an “Always On” mode where the monitor shuts off after twenty minutes.

The problem I have is that when they move the mouse to come back in, it locked their desktop. I’ve tried manipulating the “Prompt for password when the computer goes off standby” switch, but this does not change the situation.

This is Windows 2000, all patches/SP’s installed.
