I have an HP DeskJet 697C that is hooked to a Windows 2000 machine. I’ve set it to share with the lady in the next office, who is running NT Workstation 4.0. When I try to install the printer to her machine across the network, it says that no driveris loaded on the 2000 machine and asks if I want to load one locally. Well, guess what? The HP driver is a “Setup” type and there’s no .INF in sight. Also, I figured I would load the NT 4.0 driver on the 2000 machine under “Additional Drivers.” Well, after I “sucessfully” load the NT driver, it’s not there the next time I click “Additional Drivers.” Any help would be greatly appreciated!
