Windows 2000 Print Spooler

My windows 2000 server print spooler has started randomly terminating. First a Dr. Watson Application error occurs in spoolsv.exe followed by a Event ID 7031 where the Print spooler Service is terminated unexpectantly. Then Event ID 2510 states several times that the server service was unable to map errorcodes 1727 and or 1722. I have tried different printer drivers, updating third party (HP) Jet admin SW, and updating W2K to SP3 all with no success. Does anyone have any thoughts on a solution?
