I have this issue on a windows 2000 machine. The computer connects over a WAN to another office. Consistantly, the computer gives server busy messages, and every time switch to is clicked, the start menu appears but the error message reappears and it gets stuck in a loop.
This problem does not appear in windows 98 and ME machines but only the windows 2000 machine.
The problem is most apparent when running quickbooks pro, but ti does happen at other times. IT usuallt takes hundreds of clicks on retry or switch to before it goes away for a little while.
Anyone have any ideas here? I’m about to just format the computer and run it on ME or 98.
Even over a 56k modem, I do not have problems with connectiing to the WAN and using anything. But the windows 200 machine is on a 1.5 Mbit DSL and it has the problem.
