Windows 2000 Server Client

By rmcpeake ·
I have one Windows 2000 server. I have installed Active Directory. Is there a client for Windows 98 that I need to have to connect to the Windows 2000 server?

Just use client for Microsoft networks. Make sure you have the "log on to domain" checked, and that you enter the name of your domain.

Also make sure you have a valid username and password on your server to log on with.

You will need the 'Client for MS Networks' AND the Directory Services Client, available here:

The directory services for win9x clients .cab file is on the server installation cd in the clients folder. You?ll need to create a computer and user account on your server for the 98 machine. Make sure you have basic connectivity (ping both ways).
Hope this helps
