Windows 2000 Server – Disk Quota for Gro

    Locked

    by ignatius.pillainayagam ·

I am in the middle of migrating to Windows 2000 Server. I am just getting into W2K and like to know how if it is easy/possible to setup Disk Quota based on a Group.
    Appreciate comments or suggestions.

    Thanks

I am aware of using Disk Quotas in Windows 2000 Server. See with Disk Quotas I can only control user space on the disk and not directories.

I also wanted more control. I want to allow User A’s “HOME” directory to have a quota of 100MB, but User B’s “HOME” directory to have a quota of 20MB, all while giving “Domain Users” a 10MB “HOME” directory. These functions are offered in Novell and Unix, but there is no such function in MS Windows 2000 Server.

If you found a solution, please let me know.
